The Action Group
The past two years, we have been an active member of a larger coalition of
anti-trafficking organizations known as The Action Group to End Human
Trafficking and Modern Day Slavery. It is a U.S.-based, non-partisan
legislative coalition of complementary organizations dedicated to developing
a specific and time-bound policy agenda for abolishing slavery and human
trafficking. The current member organizations come from various sectors
including nongovernmental, foundational, and corporate.
In addition to working on legislative initiatives, the coalition drafted a
Transition Memo for the incoming Administration
that will help improve the fight to end human trafficking in the United
States and abroad. This report for the next Administration draws heavily
on numerous reports and studies along with in-depth discussions among the
Action Group members.
The Action Group is also comprised of: Vital Voices, Alliance to Stop
Slavery and End Trafficking, Coalition to Abolish Slavery & Trafficking,
Free the Slaves, International Justice Mission, Not For Sale Campaign,
Polaris Project, and Solidarity Center.
